Search Pope County Inmate Records

Pope County inmate records begin with the county jail roster and continue through state, federal, and court systems when custody changes. A Pope County jail roster search helps locate people booked into local detention, review public booking details, and decide whether a records request or another locator is needed. People who need to look up Pope County inmates should treat the jail roster as the current county custody source, then use state prison, federal, immigration, and court channels when the roster does not match the person's status.

Pope County Jail Roster Records

The official Pope County inmate records source for current local custody is the Pope County Sheriff's Office inmate roster. It is a free public roster, and no account, payment, or login was observed in the official access review. The roster is powered by an OCV feed tied to the sheriff site. It shows a search box, booking-photo cards when images are present, linked names, pagination, and a Submit A Tip button on public inmate cards. The roster configuration found in source data uses a date-descending sort, a page limit of 15 entries, visible images, a public search field, and no public sort menu.

Pope County jail records are not the same as a full criminal history. The roster covers people booked into the local detention pathway by the sheriff, Russellville Police Department, Pottsville Police Department, Arkansas agencies, or another arresting agency when they are held by the county. Sentenced state prisoners move to Arkansas DOC records, federal prisoners are searched through BOP, and immigration custody is searched through ICE ODLS or the ICE Contact Center. Court charges and dispositions belong in Search ARCourts and the clerk record, not only on the jail profile.

The roster view is useful for a first search, but the profile page carries the more detailed custody fields.

Use the Pope County Roster

The roster works best when the name is searched the way the jail displays it. Public inmate titles use an uppercase last-name-first format, such as LAST, FIRST MIDDLE. A partial last name can help when the spelling is uncertain. If the name is common, page through the results rather than relying on the first match. The sheriff site did not publish an exact roster refresh schedule or a release-retention window, so a missing result should be checked against the jail, Arkansas VINE, Arkansas DOC, and court records before any conclusion is made.

  1. Open the sheriff's inmate roster and start with the "Type to Search" box.
  2. Enter the last name first when possible, then try a shorter spelling if no result appears.
  3. Use the numbered page controls when the roster has many public entries or common names.
  4. Click the linked inmate name to open the profile and review the booking date, arresting agency, charge list, and physical descriptors.
  5. If the person is not found, call the Pope County Detention Center, check VINE, search the Arkansas DOC locator, and then use BOP or ICE tools if federal or immigration custody is possible.

The Pope County Sheriff's Office AR app also links to sheriff public safety features through OCV, with App Store and Google Play paths documented in the research. The research did not confirm any app-only inmate field, so the web roster remains the clearest public jail-record source.

Pope County Roster Search Fields

Pope County inmate records have a simple public search interface rather than a long set of filters. The research found one free-text search field, pagination buttons, and Submit A Tip links. The tip link is not a jail-record filter and should not be used to resolve custody, bond, or release questions. Those questions should go through the detention center or the court that issued the order.

Field LabelTypeRequiredNotes
Type to SearchText searchUnspecifiedFree-text search box on the roster; no exact-match or wildcard rule was published.
Pagination page buttonsButton controlsOptionalNumbered pages were observed, including a multi-page roster view.
Submit A TipButton or linkOptionalAppears on inmate cards and profiles; routes to sheriff tip features, not inmate lookup.

The OCV configuration matters because it explains what the public page can and cannot do. Search is enabled, images are not hidden, sort is date-descending, and sort controls are hidden. That means the roster is built for a current-custody scan, not a deep archive search.

Pope County Inmate Profile Fields

A Pope County inmate profile expands the public roster card into a booking record. The sample profile inspected showed name, mugshot or missing-image placeholder, inmate ID, age, hair color, eye color, height, weight, gender, race, booking date, arresting agency, prior bookings, and charge statute-description pairs. Bond amount, housing unit, court date, release date, and warrant numbers were not shown in the inspected samples, so those items should not be assumed from the roster.

The inspected Pope County inmate profile sample shows how booking-photo and inmate-detail fields sit together on a roster profile.

Profile fields should be read as booking information first. The court case may later amend, dismiss, reduce, or add charges.

Pope County Inmate Record Channels

When the roster does not answer the question, use the full access chain. The sheriff can answer county jail custody questions, but the sheriff is not the custodian of every later court or prison record. Arkansas VINE can provide custody and court notifications, with county jail data transfers described by the state as occurring every 15 minutes. The Arkansas DOC locator covers sentenced prisoners, county waiting-list status, and DOC facilities. Search ARCourts covers court cases. BOP and ICE cover federal and immigration custody outside county control.

County roster vs. DOC: Pope County inmate records on the sheriff roster are local booking records. DOC records are state prison and sentence records, including county waiting-list statuses after conviction.

Pope County Jail Contact

The only local detention facility resolved from official sources for this build is the Pope County Detention Center. No separate Pope County state prison, ICE detention center, federal prison, county jail annex, or municipal jail roster was located. Municipal arrests from places such as Russellville, Pottsville, Atkins, Dover, and London may still lead to county booking records when the person is taken to the county detention center.

Pope County Booking Records

Booking is the jail intake event that follows an arrest, warrant pickup, or transfer into local custody. Pope County roster entries show the fields created from that intake process: a public name, inmate ID, booking date and time, descriptors, arresting agency, prior bookings, charge statutes, charge descriptions, and an image field. Arkansas detention standards require accurate intake and population records for adult criminal detention facilities, but that does not mean every internal jail field must be posted online.

The public roster should be checked against court records because a booking charge is not a conviction. Prosecutors can file different charges after review, amend charges, drop counts, or move a case between court levels. For court filings and charge status after booking, use Search ARCourts and the appropriate Pope County court clerk. For a photo-specific discussion, the Pope County jail mugshots page explains when the roster image appears and when a public-records request may be needed.

Detainer

Disposition
The court outcome for a charge, such as guilty, dismissed, or amended.

Pope County Visitation Records

The official Pope County pages reviewed did not publish a visitation schedule, video-visit vendor, mail format, commissary vendor, deposit fee table, or jail phone-account instructions. That is a research finding, not a blank to fill from third-party pages. Jail visit and mail rules can change due to staffing, security status, holidays, court transport, lockdowns, or disciplinary restrictions, so the detention center should be called before travel, mail, or deposits are attempted.

Have the person's exact roster name and inmate ID ready before calling. Ask whether the person is eligible for visits, whether visits are in person or video, what identification is required, and whether any visit must be scheduled in advance.

Pope County Mail and Funds

Mail and money rules were not located in the official Pope County jail pages harvested for this project. Do not assume a postcard-only rule, electronic messaging vendor, kiosk, phone deposit line, or commissary fee schedule from a nonofficial directory. The safest route is to call the detention center, confirm that the person is still housed there, ask for the current mail format, and ask whether the inmate ID must be included on the envelope or deposit record.

Arkansas DOC has separate statewide money and phone-account rules for sentenced prisoners. Those DOC rules should not be applied to the county jail unless the jail confirms them. If the person has moved from Pope County custody to the Arkansas DOC system, use the state locator first and then follow DOC facility instructions.

Note: Confirm current custody with the jail before sending money, mail, or visit requests because roster status can change quickly.
